Dr. Bute, a respected figure in colon and rectal surgery, and past president of the New York Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, has made the decision to retire. In his retirement letter, Dr. Bute expressed his gratitude to his patients, stating, "It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have provided colon and rectal surgical care over the last 29 years on Long Island."
