Former Drug Addict Overcomes Adversity to Become Successful Business Owner, Inspiring Others to Rewrite Their Stories
St. Petersburg, FL, July 27, 2023 (USANews.com) - Growing up in a tumultuous environment marred by violence and drug abuse, my future seemed bleak. At the age of 16, I fell into the clutches of drug addiction, and by 18, I had dropped out of high school with no direction in life. I tell people I was really only going to end up in 3 places - prison, homeless, or 6 feet under. However, that all changed one day as I sat there watching YouTube. I stumbled upon a video discussing mindset and personal development. Intrigued, I found myself in a Barnes and Noble bookstore, where I discovered a book that would change the course of my life forever - "Mindset" by Carol Dweck. With the help of this transformative book, I was able to shift my thinking from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. About 3 months after getting the book - I'm dyslexic so it took me a minute to read - I made the courageous decision to re-enroll in high school, starting from scratch. Two years later I was a high-school graduate and eventually completed my first year of college.
Along my journey, I discovered my passion for entrepreneurship, specifically marketing. In 2018, I made the decision to drop out of College and invested in myself by hiring my first business coach. In 2019 I went all in and founded Ads and Funnels, a copywriting and funnel agency that specializes in helping online coaches, course creators, and e-commerce businesses generate predictable and repeatable profits at scale.
However, I don't just work with any type of business. The businesses I work with have to be mission-oriented and create a real impact in the world and the people's lives they serve.
Through the past few years, I've been able to leverage my own story to empower numerous entrepreneurs to achieve their business goals and unlock their full potential. My ultimate mission in life is to inspire others who have faced adversity, showing them that their past does not define their future. I firmly believe that no matter how dark one's past may be, there is always a chance for a brighter future. As a testament to my resilience and determination, my story serves as an inspiration to individuals from all walks of life.
